Class contests to support the Carnival are in full swing! Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far.
The LMS Carnival is one of the most exciting events of the school year for students - and one of the most important fundraisers for the school. Over the next two weeks, families can continue to help us gather gently used items to stock the carnival booths. The class that brings in the most items by the end of each week will win a special treat!
Here's how you can help:
Fall gets busy – it's time to get cooking!
The success of the Carnival Kitchen depends on your amazing entrees, breakfast casseroles, breads and cakes–delicious! Make an item when you have the time and freeze it until Carnival Day. Making dinner this weekend? Double that recipe and freeze the other half to bring to the Kitchen Tent!
Use your own recipe or check out more resources and ideas here.
Carnival Kitchen forms went out in your child’s backpack this week! Thank you to those who have already signed up.
Please return to your form to your child’s teacher by Friday, September 5, or email your submission to Sarah Ellis at LMSCarnivalKitchen@gmail.com.
From September 5 - 19, LMS students will have an opportunity to sell Hamilton County Schools' Kids First Coupon Books. Each book costs $15, and LMS keeps $10 of each book sold to go toward important technology needs around the school.
This year - for the first time - there will be an option to order books digitally. Stay tuned for more information; coupon book forms and QR codes for digital ordering will be shared next week! There are multiple levels of prizes and incentives for students to sell as many as they can.
We need your help to make the Coupon Book Sale a success! If you are free to help process orders and count books, please volunteer for a shift by clicking here!
If you have questions, please contact Charla Nix at 870-292-2318. Thanks for all you do to support LMS!
Starting today, August 28, there will be a new snack rack for students to purchase extra goodies to go with their lunches. Options include:
We are also excited to share that ice cream Fridays are back! Starting tomorrow, students can purchase ice cream treats to enjoy after their lunches, including:
As a reminder, LINQ Connect is the online system LMS uses for parents and guardians to securely deposit money into a child's lunch account to purchase lunch, snacks, and treats. You can also review purchases on your account, transfer balances, and submit a free & reduced application (or view its status).
If you have an existing account from last year, your login information and all of your previous account information will be the same. If you do not have an account already, you will need to register for one online. Click here to visit the LINQ Connect site and get started, and you can also download the LINQ Connect app for your phone.

Waivers for parents and families to include their contact information in the LMS Directory went home in students' back packs during the first full week of school.
If you have not yet completed the form, please be sure to do so and send to school with your child by the end of the week! The LMS directory is an incredibly useful tool for our school community to easily communicate with each other, and we want to ensure all families are included.
In case you haven't heard...our new PTA website is live!
