Food and Hygiene Drives Start Next Week

The holiday season is upon us, and there is no better time to give back to the Chattanooga community! Join us during Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (NEXT WEEK - November 17 to 21) to collect food and hygiene items for families and individuals in need.

Bring in non-perishable food items and water to help stock the Girls Inc. Family Resource Center Food Pantry. Donations will help ensure that families supported by Girls Inc. will have the nourishment they need to thrive. A collection bin will be set up in the LMS front office.

We are also collecting toothbrushes and toothpaste to support the Chattanooga Room in the Inn. The items will become part of hygiene kits provided to families arriving at the shelter. A separate collection bin will be set up for these personal hygiene donations.

Thank you for all you do to support our community!

Thank You for a Special LMS Thanksgiving Lunch!

Thank you to all the parents, family members, special guests, and LMS teachers and staff who made this year's Thanksgiving Lunch a success!

We are especially grateful for the LMS cafeteria staff, who served over 250 Thanksgiving meals to students and their guests.

Families of 1st, 3rd, and 5th graders will have an opportunity to join their students for a special Valentines lunch in February.

Save the Date for the LMS Holiday Program

Preparations for the LMS Holiday Program are in full swing!

Mark your calendars to watch your student(s) perform during this year's special school performance, "A Pirate Christmas."

Dates to Remember:

  • December 2 & 3, 8:30 am: School-wide dress rehearsals (not open to the public)
  • December 4, 8:30 am: All students perform for families and guests of kindergarten, 2nd, and 4th graders
  • December 5, 8:30 am: All students perform for families and guests of 1st, 3rd, and 5th graders

Parents with students in grades for both days may choose whichever day is preferable to attend.

This year's dress code is a little bit different to fit the theme! Kindergarten through 3rd grades will dress as either pirates or elves, according to their class. Fourth graders are all "elves at the beach," and 5th graders are all pirates, aside from cast members. Parents are responsible for providing costumes for their children.

Please see the flyer that went home in backpacks last week to know which costume your student(s) need.

We look forward to a wonderful program!

Support the Annual Fund

Thank you to everyone who has donated to the Annual Fund so far! Giving is a great way to show your support for your child's education - and is 100% tax deductible.

Donations to the LMS Annual Fund support 8 positions at the school, in addition to providing valuable resources for faculty and staff, all while ensuring our students can learn and grow in a safe environment.

Our goal is 100% parent participation this year, so let's work together to make it happen! You can mail in your donation, submit your donation online, or use the QR code below to pay directly.

If you have any questions, please send an email to lmsannualfund@gmail.com.

Thank you for supporting LMS!
