Getting involved with the LMS PTA empowers you to play a role in your child's education while impacting our community, as the health of the school and town are inextricably linked.
The town of Lookout Mountain, TN, and the PTA partner to provide additional resources and advocacy, including a dedicated School Board and a Commissioner of Education.
Remarkably, the town and PTA currently support eight staff positions in addition to critical initiatives in school safety, facility updates, and technology.
One Lookout's first initiative is to transform the aging football field behind LMS—originally built in the 1960s—into a vibrant, multi-use turf field. This first phase is just the beginning of a vision to create more inclusive, accessible recreational space for generations to come.

Construction complete on the mountain stone school building, which the town of Lookout Mountain helped fund along with the Hamilton County School Board
Kindergarten wing built after a community capital campaign
LMS named a Tennessee Reward School for being among the top 5% of schools in performance
LMS Named a Blue Ribbon School
