The holiday season is upon us, and there is no better time to give back to the Chattanooga community! Join us in collecting food and hygiene items during Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week - November 17 to 21 - for families and individuals in need.
Bring in non-perishable food items and water to help stock the Girls Inc. Family Resource Center Food Pantry. Donations will help ensure that families supported by Girls Inc. will have the nourishment they need to thrive. A collection bin will be set up in the LMS front office.
We are also collecting toothbrushes and toothpaste to support the Chattanooga Room in the Inn. The items will become part of hygiene kits provided to families arriving at the shelter. A separate collection bin will be set up for these personal hygiene donations.
Thank you for all you do to support our community!

Thanksgiving lunch is tomorrow for families of kindergarten, 2nd, and 4th grade classes!
Parents and family members who reserved a spot should join their student(s) in the cafeteria during their lunch hour for a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
Please be sure to bring $5 per guest (via cash or check) to cover the cost of the meal. We look forward to seeing you there!
Families of 1st, 3rd, and 5th graders will have an opportunity to join their students for a special Valentines lunch in February.

There are two days left to shop at the LMS Book Fair! The sale closes at the end of the day tomorrow.
If you have not had a chance to check out all of the engaging books, writing supplies, and fun posters and accessory items for students, there is still time to do so.
The Book Fair can take cash, credit card, checks made out to LMS, or funds in your student's Scholastic e-wallet.
Thank you to all of the parent volunteers who have helped make the Fair a success thus far!

Each year, the Laurelwood Garden Club (LGC) sells handcrafted holiday mailbox decorations and uses the proceeds to support grounds improvement projects at LMS and Fairyland Elementary School. This year will be the 41st consecutive year of this beloved tradition.
Participating in this annual fundraiser is a wonderful way to show your holiday spirit and create beautiful shared spaces around our school and community.

Don't forget to submit photos for the 2025-2026 school year to be included in the LMS Yearbook!
Send in your Carnival, cross country, and upcoming LMS Thanksgiving Lunch photos (along with any other school event photos!) to lookoutyearbook@gmail.com.
Giving to the Annual Fund is a great way to show your support for your child's education - and is 100% tax deductible.
Donations to the LMS Annual Fund support 8 positions at the school, in addition to providing valuable resources for faculty and staff, all while ensuring our students can learn and grow in a safe environment.
Our goal is 100% parent participation this year, so let's work together to make it happen! You can mail in your donation, submit your donation online, or use the QR code below to pay directly.
If you have any questions, please send an email to lmsannualfund@gmail.com.
Thank you for supporting LMS!
