Mark your calendars!
The first PTA general membership meeting of the school year is next Tuesday, August 19, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will begin with an announcement from principal Emily Haney, followed by updates from the PTA board about exciting school events and ways to get involved.
If you haven't joined the PTA yet, it's not too late! Just visit: lmstn.memberhub.com/store
Orientation for parents with students in 1st through 5th grades will begin immediately following the PTA meeting. Parents should plan on meeting teachers in their student's classroom(s) for class and grade-specific information. There will be two identical sessions so that parents with children in different grades will be able to attend presentations for each.
The LMS Carnival is one of the most exciting events of the school year for students - and one of the most important fundraisers for the school. Class contests start in two weeks to help gather gently used items to stock some of the most loved carnival booths!
This is a great way for the whole family to help support the event. The class that brings in the most items by the end of each week will win a special surprise!
Here's how you can help:
Save the date for Tuesday, September 30: The Carnival!
Fall gets busy - it's almost time to start cooking!
Carnival Kitchen is one of the most-loved parts of the LMS carnival - especially for parents! It gives us all a chance to stock up on meals and goodies as we go into the winter months.
The success of Carnival Kitchen depends on your amazing entrees of all sizes, including breakfast casseroles, breads, and cakes. Making something for dinner? Double your recipe and freeze it for the Kitchen Tent!

The LMS Yearbook is full of memories from throughout the school year, from the first day to the last! Help us capture the magic of the first day of school by sharing photos of your student(s) for inclusion in the 2025-2026 yearbook.
Please send first day pictures (and more, as the school year goes on!) to the LMS Yearbook team at lookoutyearbook@gmail.com.
Are you new to the LMS community? Meet other new parents, PTA board members, and LMS administrative staff at a casual coffee gathering next Friday, August 15, from 8:15 to 9 am in the cafeteria.
Parents who would like to attend should check in with their ID at the front office before proceeding to the cafeteria.
Any parents who did not pick up an LMS t-shirt for their student(s) during Open House/Registration (or picked up the incorrect size) may still email lmsptaexecboard@gmail.com to request new shirts.
Please include your name, your student's name and grade, and the desired size. We will be placing a final order in the coming weeks!
