The next LMS PTA meeting will take place on January 27, at 5:30 p.m.
This is a meeting you won't want to miss! For the first time, the PTA - in partnership with LMS administration - will be hosting a panel discussion for parents on student resiliency, independence, and accountability.
Panel members will include trusted guidance counselors and mentors for students in our community, including:
Parents will have the opportunity to hear expert perspectives on social and emotional growth and learning; resiliency in the face of school changes or setbacks; expectations for school transitions and long-term skills; best practices for technology use and building independence; and more.
Parents are welcome to submit questions on any of these topics ahead of time by emailing them to hello@lookoutmountainpta.org. We look forward to seeing you there for a valuable and engaging discussion!

The new LMS Chess Club, led by the Knight School, will begin on Monday, February 2.

Register your student here or use the QR code below! The club will meet weekly on Mondays after school, starting February 2, from 3:00- 4:15 p.m.

Reminder for all parents! Please make sure your child's school lunch account has enough funds to cover their lunch expenses. This includes their basic lunch and additional items they purchase in the lunch line, including extra entrees, additional milk, items from the Snack Rack, or ice cream.
Students are able to purchase Snack Rack items every Monday and Wednesday, including chips, cookies, and Rice Krispy Treats. Assorted juices are available to purchase daily, and ice cream is available for purchase on Fridays.
As a reminder, LINQ Connect is the online system LMS uses for parents and guardians to securely deposit money into a child's lunch account. You can also review purchases on your account, transfer balances, and submit a free & reduced application (or view its status). Click here to visit the LINQ Connect site, and you can also download the LINQ Connect app for your phone. If you need assistance, click here to see the FAQ and User Guide.
If you have any questions or concerns about your child's lunch account, please do not hesitate to reach out to Trisha Spradlin, Cafeteria Manager.
