We are so grateful for everyone who gave their time and talent to make this year's Carnival a success!
It truly takes a village (and good weather!) to bring this special event to life each year.
A special thanks goes to this year's Carnival Chairs, Melissa Koehl, Lindsey Whittaker, and Laura Cleary, as well as assistants Erin Hart, Sarah Stevens, and Lyndsey Boeselager. And of course, to this year's Carnival Kitchen extraordinaire, Sarah Ellis!
The special day would also not have been possible without the many parent volunteers and LMS staff who worked the booths, donated delicious meals and snacks for Carnival Kitchen, provided goodies for class contests, encouraged the students, and more.

Thank you to all who have placed spirit wear orders over the last week! This is a reminder that the LAST day to order (online or via back pack forms/forms picked up at Carnival) is next WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8th! There will not be a chance to order after this date, so don't miss your chance to purchase new items and support LMS!
**We have added jibbitz and stickers to the back pack order forms and online store. Be sure to add those to your orders before next week's deadline! Place an order online here.
Once all the orders are in, we can begin fulfilling them and will reorder any additional items we need to fill your orders. Please be patient with us as we get those in and out to you in the coming weeks!

Mrs. Michelle Bailey, the new LMS Student Support Coach, has been hard at work this school year supporting students through classroom visits, lunch bunches, and small groups to build strong connections and reinforce LMS values. As a part of that work, she is launching a new program focused on promoting excellent behavior in the school cafeteria - which is being lovingly renamed the Lion Café!
The new Lion Café Rewards Program will allow students to earn Golden Pawprints for using good manners and having respectful conversations during lunch. Each week, the classes with the most Pawprints in grades K–2 and 3–5 will win the Golden Lion Trophies and celebrate with a fun Golden Party in the Café the following week.
