Have you heard about this year's special project? LMS, the Town of Lookout Mountain, and the Lookout Mountain Recreation Board are full steam ahead revitalizing the school's field with turf and new lights. The next step? Securing funds to build natural stone bleachers, so we all have somewhere to sit and enjoy school events, rec league games, and more! Donations collected during the paddle raise portion of Saddle Up for Lookout will be used to support this effort.

Follow along on Instagram for more updates at @nofl_lms. We can't wait to see you there!

Grandparents Day Reminders

Grandparents Day is TOMORROW from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Please remind your extended family and other special guests to arrive early enough to get a parking spot and get checked in before the festivities begin! Guests will also have an option to dedicate a book to the student(s) they are visiting, with a special purchase in the library. Cash, check, or credit cards are accepted.

Parents: Please remember to send your children in western-inspired attire for their special performance.

This is a special day full of memories for students and their guests - we look forward to seeing extended families and guests tomorrow!

Thank You For Attending the PTA Panel Discussion for Parents

Tuesday evening's panel discussion for parents was insightful and full of helpful tips and reminders for parents guiding their children through every age and stage.

If there was one takeaway to remember, it was a reminder to learn from and lean on each other. Our school and the broader Lookout Mountain community provide a built-in support network of mentors, leaders, and friends who we can call on to navigate parenthood and all its challenges - from appropriate use of technology to building our children's resiliency as they move toward new horizons.

If you attended the discussion, we'd love your feedback. Please take 5 minutes to fill out this brief survey. Your feedback will help us plan future discussions and parent-focused events at LMS.

A special thank you to our panel members, who graciously shared their time and expertise:

  • Michelle Bailey, LMS Student Support Coach
  • Joy Kaeser, Response to Intervention (RTI) Program Lead
  • Lizzie Gendimenico, Baylor Middle School Counselor
  • Glenn and Carter Breazeale, Alpine Camp for Boys Directors
  • Marsha Hurt, Camp Desoto owner and Executive Director, and Director Sarah Hurt
