We are so grateful to have LMS school nurse Laura Blackstone taking care of our students throughout the school days!
To ensure parents are kept informed of when their student(s) visit her clinic, she is starting a new policy this month: "Ouch Reports" detailing the reason for a student's clinic visit and any treatment provided will go home in their backpack that same day.
If you receive an Ouch Report and have questions, please call the LMS Office to get in touch with Nurse Laura.

We are continuing to see new cases of lice across classrooms and kindly encourage parents to help us stop the spread by checking heads (girls and boys!) daily at home. Please also remind your child not to share hats, jackets, brushes, or other personal items that come into contact with heads throughout the day.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep everyone healthy and comfortable at school!
Save the date for one of the most fun - and important - days of the school year!
Night Out for Lookout is an annual fundraising event held on the mountain every spring. The adults-only evening features a silent auction, live auction, and paddle raise alongside dinner, drinks, music—all in support of LMS.
This year’s event will be held on March 6, 2026, which is also Grandparents Day at LMS. The theme is “Saddle up for Lookout,” so get ready to dance the night away in your favorite blue jeans! The event will be held at the Lookout Mountain Golf Club, and tickets will go on sale closer to the event.
Grandparents Day - which will take place earlier that afternoon at LMS - is another treasured annual tradition that allows grandparents or other special family members to visit the school for performances, classroom tours, refreshments, and more. Stay tuned for more information coming soon!

Need a unique Christmas gift this year for your child or a special alumni? Purchase a plaque to dedicate a seat in our LMS Auditorium, as a reminder to all that education is worth investing in.
This $250 gift is tax deductible and goes directly to support the school. Each seat will be fitted with an engraved plaque with the name of the person you are honoring. If you are interested in learning more, please email Kaki Jenkins.

Is your student missing a jacket, water bottle, or other item brought to school?
Check the Lost and Found rack - which has been moved to the entrance to the gym this year (NOT outside the LMS Office). There are tons of jackets, winter coats, and other lost items waiting to come home!

Thank you to everyone who has donated to the Annual Fund so far! Giving is a great way to show your support for your child's education - and is 100% tax deductible.
